Mosques

Year 4/5/6 are learning about mosques this half term in RE and have enjoyed looking at mosques around the world. They have then made their own 3D models.

Here is the video showing mosques around the world.

Maths Monkey

Salhouse School now has a popular addition - his name is Maths Monkey!

Maths Monkey just loves maths. Every day he gets to go home with a different child and do maths with them. He doesn't like doing worksheets but loves doing anything around the home (or out and about) that includes maths. So far he has been shopping a few times (lots of maths there!), done some cooking (lots of measuring), estimated and counted different items including his own stripes and even played games like Monopoly. He even has his own diary to record what he's been up to. He's having so much fun and helping children to see the maths all around them. He's probably the most popular person at school!

If you want to make your own Maths Monkey here's the pattern for him.
