More sound poems

Here are the sound poems from the rest of the class:

My Sound Collector Poem

A stranger called this morning
Dressed all in black and grey
Put every sound into a bag
And carried them away.

The creaking of the door
The purring of the cats
The slurping of the drink
The splashing of the fish

The barking of the dog
The bubbling of the bath
The clashing of the plates
The buzzing of the bees

A stranger called this morning
He didn’t leave his name
Left us only silence
Life will never be the same.

Capacity

We are learning to measure capacity and read the scales on measuring jugs. It would be great if the children could practise measuring at home using millilitres and litres - perhaps a bathtime activity!

Click here for a great website to practise reading the measuring jugs.

Telling the time

We are learning to tell the time using an analogue clock.

Click here to download a card game to help learn the positions of o'clock, half past, 5 past etc.

There are lots of other time games here
